The Ascension Studio

about me...

I’m Jen, founder of The Ascension Studio.

I help women reconnect with their bodies through Pilates and mindful movement so they can build strength, restore confidence, and move through life with greater ease.

Why I Do This Work

For years, I believed strength meant pushing harder.

Like many women, I spent years caring for everyone else, chasing productivity, and living almost entirely from my head.

Over time, I became disconnected from my body.

I wasn’t looking for another workout.

I was looking for a way back.

Pilates gave me that.

Not because it promised a different body, but because it taught me to listen to the one I already had.

One breath.

One movement.

One small act of trust at a time.

That experience changed not only how I moved—but how I lived.

Today, it’s the experience I hope to share with every client who walks into my studio.

My Approach

I believe movement is about more than exercise. It’s about rebuilding a relationship with your body. That’s why every session follows three simple principles:

Reconnect

Slow down, notice, and begin listening to your body again.

Rebuild

Develop strength, mobility, and confidence through thoughtful progression.

Integrate

Carry that strength into your everyday life—so you move better, feel better, and live better.

I created Ascension Studio for…

Women who want a different relationship with movement.

Women who don’t feel at home in traditional fitness spaces.

Women navigating midlife, stress, injury, recovery, or simply returning to movement after time away.

Women who are ready to stop fighting their bodies and start listening to them.

Women who want to feel stronger—not smaller.

More capable—not more perfect.

Because I believe every body deserves movement that meets it with respect.

Together, we’ll help you rebuild trust in your body so you can move better, feel better, and live better.

Ready to Begin?

Whether you're stepping onto a mat for the first time or returning to movement after years away, you're welcome here.

We’ll begin exactly where you are.

And we’ll build from there.

Ascension isn’t about perfection.

It isn’t about becoming someone else.

It’s about becoming more fully yourself.

It’s the moment you realize your body is not a problem to solve, but a relationship to nurture.

It’s the confidence that comes from feeling strong.

The trust that comes when you feel more capable in your body.

It’s when you start showing up differently in your life.

Because when you move better, you feel better.

And when you feel better, you live better.

That’s Ascension.

As someone living and working on Wahpekute Dakota land, I strive to walk in reverence and reciprocity with the land and its history. I honor the Indigenous people who have long held sacred relationship with this place.
